About OfficePassword

We help people recover access to their own password-protected Office documents — Word files, Excel spreadsheets, PowerPoint presentations, and Access databases. We run GPU recovery infrastructure and explain exactly how Office encryption works so you can make informed decisions.

Why this site exists

Most people who search for "Excel password recovery" don't know that there are four completely different password layers in Office — and three of them can be removed in seconds for free. They end up paying for "password recovery" software that does nothing but remove sheet protection, which any free tool can do.

This site exists to answer the actual question: what kind of protection does my file have, and what's the realistic path to getting it open? For some files the answer is "guaranteed recovery in hours." For others it's "depends on your password strength — let's check for free first."

We publish detailed technical explanations of every Office encryption mode, including Hashcat mode numbers, key derivation details, and practical recovery expectations. Not marketing fluff — the real technical picture.

How we work

Recovery infrastructure

We operate GPU servers running Hashcat for password recovery. Files are processed in isolated directories, encrypted at rest, and auto-deleted within 24 hours.

Free check first

Every file goes through a free analysis before any payment. We identify the encryption type and run a Fast Check. You see the result before deciding whether to pay for release.

Real humans

Every recovery is reviewed by a human operator before the result is delivered. We verify that the file belongs to you and that the recovery is legitimate.

What we don't do

  • We don't sell "password recovery" software that only removes sheet protection while pretending to crack encryption.
  • We don't recover passwords for files you don't own. Document ownership verification is mandatory before any paid recovery.
  • We don't store or retain your files. All uploads are auto-deleted within 24 hours. We don't build databases of recovered passwords.
  • We don't claim recovery rates we can't substantiate. For modern AES-256 Office files with strong random passwords, recovery is genuinely infeasible — and we say so.
